Division of Blood Transfusion Amosov National Institute of Cardiovascular Surgery Academy of Medical Sciense of Ukraine invites everyone to donate blood and plasma to save thousands of seriously ill children and adults.
The donor must be healthy, have a passport from Kiev and have a registration age from 18 to 60 years.

Division of Blood Transfusion
Chief - Valery L. DYACHENKO, M.D., transfusiologist of higher qualifying category with the experience since 2004.
From 2001 to 2009 he worked in the Blood Center of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
He repeatedly raised his qualification in the cycles of thematic advanced training on the topics
"Current issues of Clinical Hematology and Blood Transfusion," "Clinical Transfusiology", "Donor and Therapeutic Plasmapheresis"
on the basis of the Kiev P.L. Shupyk Medical Academy of Postgraduate Education.
He took an active part in scientific conferences, seminars, specializing in Transfusiology. He has 5 published scientific papers.
The division prepares more than 4000 liters of blood and processes it into various components annually.
The main directions of work of the division :
procurement of donor blood and its components;
improvements in processing and storage of blood and its components;
identifying needs and providing all surgical operations of the Institute with blood and its components;
infectious certification of blood donors and patients decreed bloodborne infections - hepatitis B and C, syphilis, and HIV carriers;
isoserologic immunhematologic certification of blood - identifying immungenetic markers of plasma and peripheral blood cells and their antibodies;
selection of corresponding "donor-recipient" pairs on major immungenetic markers of peripheral blood;
elucidation of the causes of posttransfusion reactions;
providing transfusion tactics at all stages of patients treatment.
